i have a jhon deere l 118 that will not fire i have disconnected the kill wires on both coila and the ke switch and turned over by shorting the solenoid but it still will not fire it is a 2005 modle and in like new condition any suggestions thanks for your time

Hi Mike,
 The first thing I check is the magneto arms and the flywheel magnet for rust and/or trash buildup, which can cause a weak or no spark situation. Also try a new plug. If those are good, then start looking at the safety switches, ie: seat, blade, and clutch. Let me know.
