Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): New Dewalt DP3400 Pressure Washer 9hp NEW Honda Engine Wont start, honda engine, warranty service

Question
This is a new machine and has never been started. At first pull it turned over and sounded like it was going to start. Then it wouldn't budge. I pulled the spark plug out and pulled it a couple of times and gas was coming out it seemed very excessively. It looks like too much gas is getting through and instantly flooding it. Gas was also coming out of the exhaust pretty good. Not pouring out but a small trickle. I dried the spark plug drained the gas out of the bottom of the carburetor and still nothing. It doesn't turn over at all anymore. What do you think the problem is? Is there a way to adjust the gas so it doesn't come out so heavily or is that normal?

Answer
Sounds like the carburetor inlet needle is leaking.  Is the engine oil level over full or does the oil smell like gas?  If so, then the carb inlet needle is definetly leaking.  Since the machine is new the problem should be covered under warranty unless you had some bad fuel with water or other debris in the fuel.

Did you contact the dealer where you purchased the machine from and ask for warranty service?
