Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere RX95 Riding Mower, john deere tractors, floor models

Question
I have a John Deere RX95 Riding Mower, it was given to me, runs fine, but I noticed it cuts really short. So I looked at the mower height per the manual that i got w/it. The setting is on the highest setting and it cuts my grass to about 2" maybe even a tad less. The manual stats at the highest setting, which is 4 it should be about 4 inches. When I put it on the lowest setting, which is 1, the mower is basically on the ground on my garage floor. It came w/a double bagger but installed on it, but it may have been at one time. Any ideas on how to get the mower height corrected? Thanks

Answer
I am not familiar with John Deere tractors, but in general deck height adjustments are used to
level the deck, not raise the overall height.  The best course is to go where the mower was/is
sold at, and look at the floor models, and ask the clerks and possibly the mechanics.
Make sure your mower have the correct tires, blades,etc..

I will look online and see if I can find anything helpful.
