I Do NOT recommend you do this belt change unless you are equipped with the proper lift tools, ie Heftee Lift....It will take a dealer about 1 hour to change this belt for you, you will be lucky to get it done in 4 hours if its your first one. There is danger of breaking the hydrostatic flywheel fan during the replacement.
If you decide you want to do this, this is going from memory but this is what you need to do.
SAFETY FIRST.... Remove Spark Plug wires from both plugs.
Engage Parking brake/clutch
Remove Deck
Loosen main stack pulley from engine shaft
If Mower has battery under the seat, Remove the battery and battery box (this gives you access to transmission)
look under the mower and remove the necessary idler pulley (s) to release the belt from the guide
remove belt from transmission pulley, (you may need to remove cooling fan) to do this
Place new belt around transmission pulley and guide the belt to the front of the tractor and route through the proper idlers etc.. place on front transmission pulley.
Check for proper routing of belt through idlers.
Now are you sure you still want to do this? lol
