Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Spark plug wire, wire terminal, lawn mower

Simple... Lawn mower runs only when wire is disconnected from the plug terminal. If you connect it while it is running it WILL stop. There is a strong arc jumping from the disconnected wire terminal to the plug.  We have been using it never the less. What do you think...

I guess I don't understand the question? You run it with the plug wire disconnected? That does not make sense to me? Do you have a kill wire going to the plug? If you want you can send me a pic at my e-mail and I would be glad to try and help.My e-mail is ...jp.tile@hotmail.com.....
