Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S throttle linkage question, briggs and stratton, throttle linkage
B&S throttle linkage
I have a Snapper Ninja push mower and the throttle linkage isn't set up right.  Someone has had it apart before and now I have to fix it because my yard is suffering and my wife isn't happy about it.  The model numbers are 12H802-2677-B1 and the code is 00052659.  I have pulled the repair manual and parts catalog from Briggs and Stratton and it wasn't any real help.  I would greatly appreciate a picture or layman's terms on how the spring is supposed to connect to what parts and what should turn when the throttle control is pushed/pulled.  I am completely new at small engines but have mechanical knowledge so you don't have to explain it like I'm a 6 year old with a Tonka toy.  Thank you for all of your help.

Answer
Thanks for the photograph it really helps alot.  I need a little time to get this info for you.  I believe that I can get a photograph for you.   Please send me a followup in 2 days if you dont hear back from me.  The spring is definitely wrong in the picture.

you can also look in your yellow pages under "Engines Gasoline" under Briggs and Stratton for a local dealer and visit them in person, chances are they have the spring in stock and can also instruct you how it need to be assembled.

Check out the Briggs and Stratton website and download the illustrated parts catalog for your engine, they have some very good line art which may answer your question clearly.

Let me know either way
