Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snapper rider, snapper rider, solenoid switch

Question
when turning the key on snapper I get nothing
I have noticed last year when turning it took several key
turns for it to turn over ..now nothing ..could this be a kill
safety type switch or ? older snapper.

It could be a safety switch issue,  I would trouble shoot it the following way:

Check the battery for proper voltage and fully charged.

Check the Solenoid switch to be sure power is going to the switch

Check the key switch

Check each individual safety switch on mower.  ie, Clutch, Neutral, blade engagement.

I would be looking REAL HARD at Ignition switch though.
