Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Yamaha warrior 350 rev problems, yamaha warrior 350, cam lobes

Question
I have a Yamaha warrior 350 atv. It has ran fine for a year but a few days ago i crunk and revved it up and it ran fine. After 20-30 minutes later it would idle fine ,but when i get in the throttle it bogs and sometimes backfires. I've cleaned carb, changed gas, and put in new spark plug with no results. What else can i check. Thanks, Billy

Answer
Hello Billy:

Check the Valve Clearances. Check the Cam Lobes. Usually this is Either the Cam Lobes or the Valve Clearances are too Close and Require Setting. The Valve Clearances are Between .006in for Both Valves and .010in for Both Valves Depending on the Engine Model.
