Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kawsaki engine wont start, combustion chamber, piston rings

I pulled the plugs on my john deere lx279 I found them to be wet not with gas but oil i checked the oil level and found son had over filled it. Mower is not wanting to start after i lowered oil level and replaced spark plugs

It sounds like your piston rings are allowing oil into the combustion chamber,It is being flooded with oil witch is not explosive like gas!You can try draining all oil,pulling the spark plug,and then turn the engine over several times without a plug in. Then replace the plug and oil and see if it is still getting oil in the combustion chamber?
