Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 12.5 HP, spark plug wire, forward gear

I have a B&S 12.5HP model 281702  type0020-01 code 88021811 on a Snapper rear engine rider. Engine started  but when you put a load on it(engaged blade or put in forward gear) it would stall, it did it three times, on the third time the spark plug wire smoked and melted.

It sounds like voltage has been sent to your coil and destroying it, and you must figure out that before replacing the coil, or it will
happen again.
   Look in the box under the starter button and look for bare/chewed
wires, melten etc.
 There are a few items in that box that may be suspect as well, take
a look in there and tell me what you see, as well as the Snapper model number.
