Auto Parts: Ford Explorer, ford vehicles, 1995 ford explorer

Question
I own a 1997 ford explorer and I was recently vandalized and my radio along with the center console were stolen and my front passenger side head light assembly was busted also all the dome lights were busted. I have an opportunity to get these parts from a wrecked 1995 ford explorer and my question is "are these parts interchangeable?" Your help would be greatly appreciated....Thank you....

Answer
Hi Don,

There are literally hundreds of different varieties of receivers manufactured for Ford vehicles in the year range you list. If you have Service Numbers from the both units, I could match that up to determine compatibility for you, but that may be the only way.

The headlight fits from 1995 through 2001 Explorer and 1997 Mountaineer Available with a bulb shield thru 4/98 & without a bulb shield from 5/98.

There are no notes released for trim parts like consoles and dome lights, sorry.

Thanks for the question, I hope this information was helpful to you.
