Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hydraulic pump, hydraulic pump, exmark

Question
I have a 2003 exmark zero turn 52" mower,it blew seal on shaft coming out of the hydraulic pump next to the pulley,I rebuilt hydraulic pump new seals etc. put it back together and now it will go forward some on the right tire(left is fine) it will not go in reverse,it just wines,I have bled air out of lines, changed wheel motor, thinking that bearings were bad, research on the web makes me think there is blockage somewhere, but I have checked this out also. I'm not sure what else to check I have even talked to techs at exmark...it must be in pump, weak thrust spring? I  am at wits end..I've tried everything but replace hydraulic pump..500 dollars..yuk!  any Ideas?

Answer
It sounds like it is in the pump somewhere, since you have ruled
out the motor.  For the most part, most shops deem it more cost effective to replace the pump rather than go into it and r&r,
as the cost of parts quickly add up, then when labor is added, would be more.
If you can give me the model and serial numbers, I can look around for a cheaper price on the pump,
