Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): intermitent spark, spec number, spark advance

kholer command cv22s 67529. Problem intermittent spark. seat safety has been bypassed and wired together. Sparks only when brake is applied and lifted really fast over and over.

Answer
Most model of magneto type engine's can be troubleshot by just
unplugging the small "kill" wire going to the coils, and if the engine runs fine with them unplugged, then you know the problem is in the tractor's wiring somewhere, and you have to then shut the engine down without a kill wire.
   But some models came out with "SmartSpark" a spark advance
module, and it comes with it's own group of quirks, so if you can
find the engine's model and spec number, that would be helpful.
