Auto Airbag System Repair: air bag light, code charts, airbag systems

Question
I have a P reg Audi A4. recently the air bag warning light on the dash has come on for no apparent reason, can you either tell me what is the likely problem or how to switch it off.

You will need a scan tool to diagnose your airbag problem (a dealer or body shop only).  Once you have the code, you will be able to look up the fault and determine what needs to be serviced.  My company has an airbag website with many fault codes (not Audi), but we do not cover all of the European models.  Check out the site if you'd like.  It's a site that will explain everything you need to know about airbag systems, airbag lights and resetting the system.  It shows you the location of the components and the procedure for diagnosing and resetting airbag lights after a deployment.  Not all vehicles need everything replaced.  Although  it’s a pay site, it certainly is worth the money ($14.95 for 1 day full access)
