Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): small engine, briggs breather

Question
i have 2003 Gravely zero turn mower with 16HP OHV Intek engine, Of lately it spilling oil out of fuel pump, I am losing about half cup within 30 min of mowing, Some times on heavy load I blue smoke in huge cloud and you ease up on blade it goes away, I am told by friends to check the engine vent, I don't know where it is,Help please!!!!!!!!!

Answer
On the carburetor or air filter bracket there will be a rubber hose that connects to the block,  Where it connects to the block will be a rectangular box held on with 2 screws which will be the engine breather.

If oil is coming out of the fuel pump, then the pump will need to be replaced as the diaphragm is leaking.  If it's just coming from the breather, then just the breather needs to be replaced.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks, PK.
