Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): fuel mix, hi tim, fuel mix

hi tim, my question is... I have a ryobi 30. cc weedeater.
that i have been running on a 50:1 mix. is that correct the model is ry30554. any help is appreciated.

Hello James,yes that is correct. Only mix sufficient fuel for a couple of days. Close the canister and shake it vigorously by hand to make sure proper mixing of the oil with the fuel. Here are some facts that manufactures do:
                          
                         Gasoline    Oil
                         1US GAL.    2.6

                         2 1/2 GAL   6.4

                         5 GAL       12.8

This formula is a 50:1 ratio.
