Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Fuel/carberator problem, briggs stratton, 6 digits

Question
I have a Craftsman OHV 15.5 HP 28N707 CODE # 955033148 Briggs & Stratton 42" cut mower. Purchased from lady 6Months ago and she said wouldn't start. As far as I can see, gas is getting to the carburetor but the mower is not starting. As long as I spray gas in the carb, it will run. I believe the electronic float/needle valve is not working. Is there a replacement number for this part??? And what else could it be???

You will need to rebuild the carburetor, there must be a peice of crud lodged in the venture and that is why the engine wont start, because no fuel is getting to the piston to start it.There is no such thing as a electronic float needle. What you are seeing is a fuel shut off to prevent backfiring in the engine.Like I said you need to clean and rebuild the complete carb and as you dismantle it make sure you take pictures or make notes so you can put the carb back together.I will also need the other numbers on there the one I need looks like this.
28N707-0181-01 where the first 6 digits are the model # and the rest is the spec number, You also have 2 different carburetors that can go on this engine one of them looks like the attached picture if this is what yours looks like let me know if it doesn't then it is the other carb.
