Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): homelite 245 chainsaw, diaphragms, fuel line

my homelite 245 started acting up yesterday. it will start and run then when you start to cut on  wood it wants too die out. i have changed the plug (two times). fixed one gas line, and cleaned the muffler. what could be wrong?

If you found a cracked fuel line, then dirt/crud has likely gone into the carb, and removal, disassembly, and cleaning are the
next step.  The diaphragms in the carb will likely be brittle
and need replacing as well.  When the carb is apart, remove the
needle/lever/spring and blow out the passage as well as the others.
