Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murry riding mower with tecumseh motor, electrical advice, new spark

Question
The mower will start but only runs wide open to partly choked position on the throddle,if you lower the throddle any its goes dead. we have installed a new spark plug,air filter. we took the carb apart and blew the small holes out. there is only one gasket in the carb, it looks good. the mower still runs the same after we did this. there is two tires going to the carb, some elect device, one is grounded to the motor, there is voltage there because I can see a spark when disconnecting them when the mower is running but it causes it to stop if either is disconnected.

Answer
The electrical advice on the bottom of the carb is an afterfire
fuel shutoff solenoid, newer mowers will make a loud pop after turning the key off, this helps eliminate that.
  It sounds like you still have a clogged carb, so go into it again,
also look for any leaky gaskets that might be sucking air.
