Question I have had the pull string on my machine replaced twice>It now has broken for the third time. At this point I would like to make the repair myself. How do I go about it and is there something that has to be looked for in order to stop this problem from occurring

The above link is for a chainsaw but the repair is the same once you remove the starter.
Is the hole in the starter housing, where the rope comes out, wore or have a sharpish edge causing the rope to wear?
