Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): stihl 051av chainsaw points, good shape, saws

I have an older stihl 051 AV chainsaw that is badly in need of points.  I have filed the old points all that I can.  I recently looked into putting a electronic ingnition on the saw but was informed that it would not work on the older stihl 051's.  Is this true?  If so would you have any idea where to get points and condensor. The saw is still in good shape and I would hate to see it not being used.  Any help would be greatly apprecaited.  Thanks for your time.

Stihl dealers seem to be in the dark about upgrading older saws
to eliminate points, Stihl would rather sell new saws.
The trigger unit which fits many Stihl models is still available,
it is part# 1118 400 1001, and has instructions and fasteners in the
kit.
