Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gc 160, centrifugal clutch, go cart

Question
I have a go cart. The engine runs great but when i press the gas, the go cart doesn't move. the motor just revs.
can you please tell me what the problem is?

Answer
Without knowing what kind of drive you have, you will have to do some exploring.  On the side opposite the pull starter is the pto side of the engine, and it usually has a centrifugal clutch, that
engages when the rpm's reach a certain speed, and then turn a chain
or belt, which may be under a protective cover.
Remove the cover and take a look, the belt or chain may just be broken, take a look, and also see If you can find a brand and model number off of the go cart,
Thanks,
