Hello,
I have a Craftsman (Model Number 917.259160) mower and I am having troulbe re-installing the belt for the mower blade.  I have no issues with lowering the deck or removing and re-installing the deck, however I am unable to install the belt back on through the mandrel pulley's and the engine pulley.  (I can install it on all of the mandrel/idler pulley's but am unable to install it on the engine pulley.) It would appear to me that the belt is too small to reach, but it is the same length as the old belt and the correct size per the manual.  

Please offer me some assistance.  I have tried lowering the deck, bringing the deck up, engaging the attachment clutch, etc.

Hi Michael, if it is the same belt it will fit, possibly you are trying to put it on around the wrong side of the idlers. Without seeing it, it is next to impossible to explain how it fits.
