Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): ryobi weedeater, ryobi weedeater, black carbon

I have a ryobi weedeater model# ry30455 30cc.  The weedeater will start, but will not run at full throttle. It bogs down as if it was getting to much fuel. It will maybe run at 2/3 throttle.  I changed the spark plug and this did seem to help a little, but it will still just barely run fast enough to do any trimming.

It is likely an air filter/ muffler problem.  Get it running and while it is running, remove the air filter, and see what happens.

Shut it off and explore the muffler, and you will likely find a
screen that is totally blocked with black carbon, clean both, and let
me know what you find.
