Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 5 hp B & S No Spark, troy built tiller, bare metal

Question
QUESTION: I have a Troy Built Tiller with a 5 hp b&s model 130292 engine that I can't get started. I replaced the fuel, oil and spark plug. The flywheel was pretty rusty so I sanded it down to bare metal. It still won't spark. What can I do next?

ANSWER: The first thing to do is pull the kill wire from the coil.  This is the small black wire that's fastened to the coil with a spade clip.  Pull this wire and see if there's any fire at the plug and let me know what you get.  Thanks, PK.

QUESTION: I tried it and got no fire at the plug.

Answer
What's the type number of the engine?  You may have points.  The flywheel will need to come off to check them if you do.  I don't know how many more times the system will let you reply, but if you can't reply through this site, you can email me through my website that's listed in my profile.
