Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Leaking oil, blown head gasket, kawasaki engine

I have a 2001 John Deere LX277 riding mower. Kawasaki engine. The engine is leaking oil on the left side of the engine. The leaks starts soon after engine is started.  Some power loss but still able to mow.

Answer
With a reported loss of power, my first guess would be a blown head
gasket.  If you could get me the model number off of the engine,
I could possibly put up a diagram of the engine block, and we could pinpoint the area, and possibly the correct gasket.
