Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnmowers, adjustment screws, proper manuals

Question
QUESTION: I just read your advice about setting air mixture screws for a lawnmower. I have hit a snag though, when you to start it then turn the screw..I can't because the cover is in the way and I can't start it with it off because the pull start cord is part of the cover. I just can't get it to idle..and is backfiring. Just about to set fire to this thing..been in a shop..still no joy. Accidentally put dirty fuel in it ages ago and hasn't right since. I didn't want to take out the adjustment screws, but I had no choice.

ANSWER: Hello Andrew:

>>Send me the Make and Model of this Mower and the Make, Model, Type/Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you.
>>Thanks.

Answer
Hello Again Andrew:

>>You should have Access to the Carburetor Mixture Screws (if any) without Removing the Shroud.
>>I have been Told that On These Model Mowers, you Remove the Starter Handle and Remove the Shroud. Replace the Starter Handle to the Rope and then Start the Engine and Set the Mixture Screws.
>>Talon Tools is the OEM for this Unit and their Site Page has Expired for Some Reason. I have Inquired into this and will have a Response within 72 Hours.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag, if I Missed Something or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
