Car Alarms: After market car alarm wont lock/unlock doors, resident technicians, switch car

Battery in 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer went dead after leaving headlights on. Jump started car and alarm went off. Usually the remote would disarm car but it didn't work. I found toggle switch under dashboard, turned ignition on and toggled switch. Car started fine. However, the remote still won't arm/lock doors nor disarm car/open doors. (Once car door is shut alarm is set after few seconds). Remote battery is fine as when pressed light comes on. So now every single to enter the car I have to use the key which sets off the siren, then use toggle switch to turn off alarm. HELP!!!!

That's hard to say what the problem could
be without first hand inspection. If you
