Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere STX38 with 12.5HP kohler, john deere stx38, hp kohler

Question
Hi John;
I have a stx-38 with a 12.5 hp kohler,
I changed the oil,oil filter,air filter,fuel filter.
I fired it up,it ran like a champ for around an hour,then it started started sputtering like it was out of fuel.
The fuel filter that is on there now ,you can see through it.no gas in it.
I took the fuel line loose and didn't get much fuel through it.(about 1/2 tank) drained it,blew air through the fuel line back into the tank.(with out the cap)it helped for a short time then started running slow again.
Should I replace the fuel line? or is there something I missed?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Garry

Answer
Hello Garry:

>>You need to Remove and Clean the Inside of the Gas Tank.
>>From your Description it Sounds like Trash is Collecting at the Outlet Port of the Tank and is Restricting the Gas Flow to the Carburetor.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. *You can Drag the View Windows for Better Viewing.*
