Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): governer, sectional index, 6 digits

Question
doing rebuild on brig and strat 5hp, model 12F802, type 3112-E1, code 97072259, and i am not sure if i have placed the governer in the right position on crankshaft, and i was hoping for a magic drawing or picture, before i close the crankcase.I guess i am worried about the relationship between the external lever, governer end,and the expanding fingers of the governer inside the crankcase, thanks

Answer
Hello John:

>>The Governor Fly Weights are in the Closed Position (the Fly Weights should Up Around the Button of the Mechanical Governor that the Governor Shaft/Crank Rests Against) when the Governor is Set on Top of the Cam Gear.
>>The Governor Shaft (also called the Governor Crank) Rest on the Internal Governors Actuator (Button) when the Oil Pan/Sump is Installed.
>> Make Sure the Governor Stays in Contact with the Governor Shaft/Crank while Replacing the Oil Pan.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model (5 or 6 Digits) and Type Numbers (first 4 Digits then - then the Last 2 Digits/Letter). Example: 12F802-3112-E1. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Select Sectional Index. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View.
>>The Internal Governor (#43) and Cam are Shown in the "Cam, Crankshaft,  Cylinder, Engine Sump, ect" File and the Governor Shaft/Crank (#616) is Shown in the "Controls, Fuel Supply, Governor Spring" File.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag, if I Missed Something or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
