Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Flex connector for generator muffler, honda muffler, degree elbow

Question
My Generac generator had less than a good muffler originally. I had a Honda Civic muffler fitted with 2" pipe threads and purchased pipe fittings to connect this through and elbow to the engine's threaded nipple into the engine. A problem became immediately apparent that the muffler which is supported off the frame doesn't move with the engine which has its own rubber in shear mounts. I've tried using high temp silicone tubing between engine nipple and the elbow going to the muffler with poor results due to heat.I think I need a metal bellows flex connector about 5" long to act as my isolator of the two different pieces. My problem is that flex does not appear to come with 1"ID to match the engine's nipple. Currently I have only 5"s of flex then turn 90 degrees then another 5"s before I connect to the Honda muffler. As another posible solution do you think it is posible to use 1.5"-1.75" diameter flex all the way from the engine nipple to the muffler connection around the current 90 degree elbow? If I could find 1" flex it would most likely make the turn and I could attach an appropriate sized connection at the far end to attach to my Civic muffler. I'm asking for feasability and source of the flex I guess.

Answer
Hello Bill:

>>I Usually Insert a Pipe Nipple Into the Exhaust Port and then Adapt Up to the 1.5" or 1.75" Flex Pipe. I have Not Located a Manufacturer that makes a 1" Flex Pipe.
