Land Rover Repair: electrical, electrical system, flashers

Question
Yesterday, my whole electrical system with the exception of my w/wipers, horn and flashers shut down. My battery light came on so I changed the battery. The car would start until last night I went outside and it would turn over just fine but never start up. Still no lights, no radio, no a/c-nothing. WHat does this sound like? I have checked all of the fuses, but found none burned? SHouldn't It be obvious to me if one is burned? Thanks.

Answer
When the battery light comes on it does not mean you need a new battery.  It means your battery is not being charged.  The most common reason for that is alternator failure, but you should also look to see if the belt has come off the alternator.  If it has, there is probably a separate cause for that.

I'd start there.
