Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snowblower trouble :(, recoil starter, techumseh

Question
I have a Techumseh Gran Prix 8 hp snowblower.
The Model # is GP 825 3083 5 164 (i hope that # is correct, was kind of hard to read)
My problem is this...I went to try and start it this morning and the "accelerator switch" (stop, slow, fast) was stiff.I pulled and it gave way.
When I went to pull on the pull cord, it just pulled out like it was not connecting with anything. Mind you the pull cord it self is still connected.
Hope you can help, and it's not a hard fix.
As i am not the most mechanically inclined person!! haha

Answer
Hello Wayne:

>>This is an Engine Problem.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Throttle Cable was Corroded and May have Broken and the Starter Dawgs are Frozen in Place and Require Lubricating and Loosening so the Move Correctly and Engage the Recoil Starter.
>>Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.
>>Thanks.
