Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Simplicity shear pins, shear pins, shear pin

Question
I need to replace a shear pin on my Simplicity (10hp).  When I turn the augur, I just can't find either the old broken pin or the hole where the replacement pin is supposed to go.  Any tricks?

Answer
Hello Walt:

>>You can View a Breakdown of the Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.jackssmallengines.net/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab and Enter the OEM and the Model Numbers. Now Double Click on your Model in the Results Area.
>>Usually if you cannot Locate the Hole in the Gear Box, then the Auger has to be Removed from the Auger Housing. Once the Auger and Gearbox are Out of the Auger Housing, you can then Locate the Hole in the Gearbox Short Shaft and then Replace the Sheared Bolt.
