Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn Mower - Transmission Wont Go Out Of Neutral, cub cadet 2130, neutral link

Question
Good evening.  Thank you for reading my question.  I have a 1999 Cub Cadet 2130 AGS (Auto Gear System) with a 42" deck.  The problem I am having is that once I put the shifting lever into neutral, I cannot get it back into any other gear.  This happened 2 years ago and I resolved it by rocking the lawn mower back an forth while sitting on it and aggressively depressing the gas and reverse pedals.  I've left it like that until today when I goofed and put it back in neutral.  Now I'm unable to get it unstuck.  I feel that this is a really simple solution with possibly an adjustment in pedal positions or something.  Thank you for your time in reading this.  I have an excel file with the pictures I wanted to send you describing each figure, however, your system won't accept an excel file.  When I tried to send them in JPEG format, I kept getting and error notice "Image Title Contains Char'".  I couldn't figure it out.  There were no punctuation marks in the file name so I guess we'll start without pictures for now.  Thanks again!

Hello Kalvin:

>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.jacobisalespartslookup.com/home.asp and Select the Cub Cadet Logo. Now Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Now Select the OEM (Cub Cadet) and Select the Model Tab. Then Enter the Model Numbers 2130 and Click Search. Then Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. Then Select Sectional View. Then Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View.
>>There are a Lot of Linkage Connections that can be Loose/Worn and  Causing this Problem. I Suggest you Use the Breakdown and Inspect the Linkage. Have Someone Operate the Clutch while you Do this Inspection. Usually you will See the Connection that is Binding and Causing this Problem or it will be a Transmission Problem. The Linkage is Usually the Cause for this Problem on this Unit.
>>The Linkage is Shown in More than One File. You should Locate Linkage in the Clutch and Neutral Linkage File and the Transmission Controls File. >>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
