Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lauson outboard, pins and needles, emery cloth

Question
John, I found a little more info on my Grandpa's outboard. It seems to be called a "Sportking", and I managed to use emery cloth to get a number off the front of the frame/block. It is 60B3220. Any help? I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear from you! I'm not sure but it looked like it had a 4 in front of "Sportking". 4 HP ?  Thanks Dana

Answer
Hello Again Dana:

Did you Get my Follow Up with this Site Addy; http://www.iboats.com/Engines/bpe/10 ? This is a Sport King Series Engine. You have Either a 2.5 HP or a 3.0 HP Engine. The 4 Means it is a 4 Stroke Engine. The Site Addys I have Given you will Put you in Touch with People that Deal Exclusively with the Lauson Outboard Engines. There is a Directory Forum and an Outboard Motor Forum that has Very Good Information for this Antique/Obsolete Engine. http://www.iboats.com/Lauson__Sport_King_Single__3hp__1948/bpe/53e14057r2 .
