Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Cant install plug in Honda HS 828, thread chaser, mint cond

Question
I was doing some routine maintenance on a just purchased Honda 828 (mint
cond) and took out the plug to check, after regapping could not get it back in
after numerous attempts. I fear I may have wrecked the threads. What are my
options?
Should I try a thread chaser?

You are Correct. Try a Thread Chaser First. If this Does Not Work, then Replace the Cylinder Head. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda.
