Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): simplicity does not start, coffe grinder, recoil starter

Question
Hello,
Have a quick question on my snowblower.  This one is an old simplicity 8 HP and the electric start is difficut to use (maybe the choke was not properly engaged).  In any case, after 5-10 electric start attempts, the electric start stopped kicking in.  When the recoil start was pulled a coffe grinder soundis heard (the machine does not start) also there is more resistance trying to do the recoil start.  ny idea what this could be?..any shaft or something bent?

Thanks for your help

Answer
Hello Prem:

From your Description it Sounds like the Carburetor Requires Soaking and Cleaning and the Recoil Starter Clutch (causes the Coffee Grinding Noise when needing clean and lube) Requires Cleaning. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine and Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you. Thanks. Have a Happy Holiday Season and Be Safe and Happy. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours.
