Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman C590-52119-0 Snow Thrower, bolt and nut, shear pin

Question
My thrower stopped throwing. Found what I think is a shear pin in the case between the motor and auger housing. Lost the pin and need to know if it's a standard one or not. Also and more importantly I cannot find where to put the replacement. I cannot find my manual that came wiht the unit. Thanks

Answer
Hello Bill:

The Model Numbers you Sent me are Not Showing as Good Numbers. Can you Recheck the Model Numbers, Please? Thanks. Most of the Shear Pins Used on All Snow Throwers/Blowers can be Replaced with a Standard (Grade 5) Bolt. Usually a 7/16', 5/8' or Sometimes a 3/4' Bolt are Used. If the Shear Pin Fails and Shears, then you have to Rotate the Gear Box or Engine in this Case and Locate the Place where the Hole and Piece of Shear Bolt are in the Shaft. Then you have to Punch Out the Old Shear Pin from the Shaft. Align the 2 Pieces and Replace with a Bolt and Nut and you should be Good to Go. Make Sure you Use a Bolt that is a Snug Fit. A Model Number would Help me Assist you Better. Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Use the Model Locator Just Under the Model Search Box at the Right of the Page. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
