Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Oil pressure Kohler engine, oil pressure switch, engine catalog

Question
Hello John,
From a Kohler engine CH20S the breather cover gasket blow out just at the oil pressure switch, I replaced it and now the O-ring from the oil filter is blowing out all the time. It happens right away when you start the engine. Probably the oil pressure is to high, do you know how I can lower the oil pressure or any idea how could this happen. The Kohler engine is build in a Riding mower and looks not that old yet.

Answer
Hello Fred:

From your Description it Sounds like the Oil Pump Relief Valve has Stuck Closed and is Not Regulating the Oil Pressure Properly. The Oil Pump will have to be Replaced. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.kohlerplus.com/login.asp and Select Enter as Guest. Now Select the Thumbnail of the Engine Catalog you Wish to View. Then Select your Engine Model. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
