Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): ignition igniter, toro snow thrower, old chevy

Question
I have a suzuki (47pjp)out of a toro snow thrower.I know I have a bad igniter(81-0340.)My question being in one of your answers to someone with the same problem, someone mentioned that you can replace it with a nova or nova II,for about $20.What are we actually talking about here,
a condencer from an old chevy nova or something else. These are very expensive igniters $90-120.Hope there's something cheaper,I hate to tell elders that kind of news. Thanks Bob

Answer
Is notmy answer but I am pretty sure they're talking about replacing the original equipment part with a generic or will fit part.  If you know the model number of the snow thrower that the engine came out of can go to Toro's website and find everything for the engine that you have then if you want to compare parts and prices you can go online to one of many generic parts companies that offer parts.  I could see you are ready have the part number so I would suggest going to a company called Stens or Silver Streak to see what they have.  If you buy online make sure you're not buying a used part it is a new part whether it is Toro original equipment part or a generic.  Many people are selling parts they take off engines that they have or have purchased from other people.  But if you want your service manual go to www.Toro.com.  Click on consumer then click on customer care then click on product center.  This will open a window where you can put in the model number and from there find parts catalogs and the service manual for that engine I believe the manual is downloadable at no charge I hope this information don't you out if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.
