Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Little Wonder Wheel Blower, honda gx270, flex head

Question
Greetings Eric,
I have a little wonder wheel leaf blower with a 9hp honda GX270 motor. I have a fuel leak under the tank in the center where the fuel line connects. I can't get to it unless I remove the fuel tank. But there's one fuel tank bolt I can't get too. It's located behind the muffler facing the back of the wheel. It's a 12mm size bolt. The way it's angled, I can't get a wrench on the bolt. I would hate to disassemble the blower for one bolt. Is there a special tool I need for this? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you and have a nice Thanksgiving  Pete

Answer
You might be able to get a flex head open end wrench to remove the bolt but it's another tool you have to purchase.  Sears sells a set of open end flex box wrenches with a locking mechanism.  So, either try buying another tool or dis-assemble more parts to get to the bolt.

If I am making money I recommend buying the tool.  I've purchased very special tools from the tool truck an only used them one time but saved several hours of labor by not having to dis-assemble the entire machine.  If you have time and are doing the work yourself then I would dis-assemble more parts to get to the bolt.  It's your time and not the $65.00 plus labor the shop charges.

Let me know if this helps.
