Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): reel mower, briggs and stratton, prophetstown illinois

QUESTION: I have an old reel type self propelled mower. It is an Eclipse Rocket Deluxe, series 160 (I think), with a Briggs and Stratton Motor. Are you familiar with this mower? Thanks for any  info. Roger

My Grandfather Used one to Mow his Front Lawn. He Swore the Mower Gave the Yard the Best Looking Cut of Any Mower. What Information do you Require? Is the Striker Plate Bent or Require Adjusting? Do you Require Engine Information? Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. They are Stamped Into the Blower Housing (Metal Engine Cover) Above the Spark Plug. Thanks.

QUESTION: The mower has been in the family for at least 40 years. It hasnt run in about that long. I'm trying to make it usable. I'd like info, manuals, parts, etc. The numbers I have are 5s  700302  1395025. They are stamped on a plate that is attached to the engine head. The only word I can make out is Stratton, which I assume is part of Briggs and Stratton. I dont know what the numbers stand for.The plate on the mower says it was made in Prophetstown, Illinois. Do you know when/

Sorry for the Delay, I was Searching my Old Microfiche and Finally I Contacted my Briggs and Stratton Technician. He is Going to See if he can Locate Any Information on this Engine. I will Follow Up with Any Information I Recieve from him on Monday or Tuesday (11/17 or 11/18). Thanks for Being Patient.
