Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs & Stratton Engine Primer, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
I have a Craftsman Rotary Lawn Mower which is powered by a Briggs & Stratton 4-Cycle Engine Until recently I had no problem starting the engine - would just push the primer bulb 3 times and pull the starter rope. recently it appears the primer system so longer works and I need to pull the starter rope about 30 times to start the engine. When the engine won't start I continue to attemp to use the primer bulb but it doesn't seem to help.
The carburetor on the engine is not adjustable.
What can i do to get the primer system working.
.

Answer
Have you tried spraying starter fluid into the carb to confirm this is your problem?.......Have you checked to see if the primer hose is broken , cracked,, or has fallen off?......If these things are ok proceed to having the primer bulb replaced......Tom
