Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite leaf blower Model 180V, twist tie, leaf blower

Question
Blower was working excellent 2 weeks ago. Will not start now. Fuel lines are clean and flowing. Spark plug is new and gets spark.Primer bubble fills with gas.Only will start when I put some starting fluid or gas in the cylinder. Starts immediatey at full force, then stops after the fluid or gas has burnt out of the cylinder. Then will not start again ??? Thanks for any suggestions........

Answer
What usually happens is that a small piece of debris goes through the fuel system and lodges in your carburetor main jet.  Remove the carburetor disassemble it and use a wire like a wire from a twist tie to clean every air and fuel passage.  Purchase a new carburetor kit and mounting gaskets.  Use the carburetor kit when rebuilding the carburetor follow the directions that usually come with the kit.  Reattach the carburetor using new mounting gaskets and make sure the bolts are tight.  Put your lines back up and everything should be running.  I hope this information helps you out good luck on your project.
