Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Husqvarna Trimmer, liquid gasket, permatex

Question
I am rebuilding a Husqvarna 440 trimmer motor.  The cylinder and top half of
the crankcase are one piece and mate to the bottom of the crankcase.  There
is no gasket between these two pieces but there seems to be plastic from the
exterior trimmer housing between the two motor pieces.  When I dismantled
it there was residue from some type of sealer or glue installed at the factory.
What product would you recommend as a sort of liquid gasket in this
application or would you not use any sealer at all?

Answer
Hello Peter:

The Product is Manufactured by Permatex and is Grey in Color. It is Called Ultra Grey High Torque. Most of your Local Automotive Parts Retailers will have it or can Order it for you. Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
