I NEED TO KNOW IF THE CARBURETOR IS INTERCHANGEABLE FROM A JOHN DEER STX30 TO A STX38.

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers (STX30 or STX38) and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Yes the Carburetors should Interchange. I Reviewed Both Mowers Breakdowns and I can See No Reason the Carburetors will Not Interchange. The STX 30 and 38 are Listed on the Same Breakdown and the Engines and Carburetors are Listed as the Same.
