Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Settings for Brigs and stratton Quantum 60 engine, brigs and stratton, engine model type

How do I reset the fuel and petrol mix for the quantum 60 engine, It has a bowl type carb, and it keeps cutting out.

Answer
From a gently seated needle position, turn the needle out 1 to 1 1/2 turns.  

Start engine, warm up.  Set idle to 1800 RPM with a single cylinder tochometer, then turn needle in until engine RPM slightly drops, then back needle out until RPM smooth, continue to back out until RPM drop again.  Set the needle in between these two positions.

What is the engine model, type and code number?  Most of the newer engines are fixed jet with no adjustment.  Have you removed, dis-assembled and cleaned the carb with compressed air and carburetor cleaner?
