Chrysler Repair: Whining noise, whines, 8l

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to answer this. My T&C 3.8L whines after the van warms up, and is driven for 3 or 4 miles. When I shut if off, cools down and starts over. Has a tendency to get louder the further is goes. Checked all fluid levels, including power steering, all is at appropriate levels. No problem with performance, no shifting probs. Any ideas? It is hard to analyze sounds without a lot of other information. Ideally localizing the area of the vehicle from which it coming, whether it is proportional to wheel velocity or to rpm of the engine (which?), is it affected by whether you are going straight or turning, does it happen when cruising/slowing/accelerating/braking/at rest when revving or idling? If you can hear when idling then open the hood and try to localize.
Even then it will be a challenge without hearing it. If you can expand on the details I might be able to give you some suggestions.
