Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD tractor die when i engage blades or shift into gear, safety switch, electrical problems

hello, my lawnmower dies when i try to engage blades or shift into gear. i have by passed the seat switch, when in neautral it runs fine i can even rev the motor up no problem. but the sec i try to shift or engage the blades it sounds like im turning the ignition off. it ran fine last week. please help

Even though you bypassed switch it still has to be in the system.  Also the PTOs switch usually has a dual purpose is a double throw double pole switch and both sides have to work.  If you have no mow in reverse that would have to be operating properly too.  If this happened suddenly you may have a safety switch out of place so be sure to check them all.  Double check all of your grounds to be sure they are grounding.  Electrical problems can be the labor us to find.  I hope this has helped
